Three dead in apparent murder-suicide

LANSING, Mich., June 9 (UPI) -- Authorities Tuesday were investigating what they called an apparent murder-suicide of three people near Lansing, Mich.

A man called police after coming home to an apartment in Delta Township, Mich., and finding the bodies of his wife and two young sons, The Lansing State Journal reported.

"Initially, it appears to be a homicide-suicide," Eaton County, Mich., Sheriff Mike Raines told the newspaper. "But it is still under investigation."

Raines would not comment on the causes of death, adding that the victims had been taken to local hospital for autopsies.

The family seemed normal, a man who lived across the hall said.
