PARIS, June 6 (UPI) -- The D-Day anniversary in France has become a family trip for U.S. President Barack Obama, first lady Michelle Obama and the couple's two children.
The first lady arrived in Paris with daughters Sasha and Malia Friday. While the president was in Germany visiting Dresden and the Buchenwald concentration camp, Michelle Obama took the children to the Eiffel Tower, ABC News reported.
The Paris visit is the girls' first overseas trip, the report said.
On Saturday, after a night at the U.S. Embassy, the Obamas went to Normandy for the 65th anniversary of D-Day. While the president is to return to the United States Sunday, his wife and daughters will stay in Paris until Monday, Sasha's eighth birthday.
