LIMPOPO, South Africa, June 5 (UPI) -- A South African woman, who claimed to be the world's oldest woman at 134, has died.
Moloko Temo, a grandmother of 29, died Wednesday, officials near her home in the Limpopo province where she reportedly lived her entire life, told the Daily Telegraph.
She said she was born on July 4, 1874. Her survivors included one daughter, believed to be in her late 90s.
Despite her claim to be the world's oldest woman, her age reportedly was never formally verified by the Guinness Book of Records.
The officially recognized world's oldest woman, Portuguese grandmother Maria de Jesus, died in January at 115.
Temo said the secret to a long life was a "trust in God and respect for your parents." She said her favorite foods were spinach, meat, sweets and Coca-Cola.
