NEW ORLEANS, June 4 (UPI) -- Police in New Orleans allege a bus driver was stabbed by a 17-year-old woman after the teen refused to fold up her baby stroller while on the bus.
Regional Transit Authority bus driver Hanella Johnson was treated and released from the hospital after allegedly being stabbed in the chest with a knife by teenage mother Darrion Scott, the New Orleans Times-Picayune reported Wednesday.
Johnson alleges the teen stabbed her after she repeatedly asked her to fold up her baby stroller as per standard bus policy.
Nearly 15 minutes after Scott refused to comply with the requests Tuesday, the teen allegedly emptied a baby bottle of milk onto Johnson before stabbing her with a knife.
Scott, who was traveling with her 2-year-old child at the time of the attack, was arrested shortly after the incident.
The Times-Picayune said the teenage mother was charged with aggravated battery and is being held on $25,000 bond.
