MOSUL, Iraq, June 4 (UPI) -- Three security company workers were killed and several wounded Thursday in a car bomb attack in Mosul in northern Iraq, police said.

A police source told the Kuwaiti news agency KUNA the explosive-laden vehicle was driven by a suicide bomber into the company headquarters. The name of the company and nationality of the victims wasn't reported.

The New York Times reported nine people were killed Wednesday evening when a bomb exploded at an outdoor cafe in Baghdad. The Interior Ministry said 31 people were injured.

In a separate incident Wednesday, one police officer died and another was injured in fighting with unidentified gunmen in western Mosul, Iran's Press TV said.
