Two killed in NATO supply container attack

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan, June 2 (UPI) -- Militants shot and killed two people Tuesday during an attack on NATO supply containers in Chaman, Pakistan, near the border with Afghanistan, police said.

The victims were believed to be watchmen in the area through which trucks pass carrying supplies to NATO forces in Afghanistan.

Police told GEO TV the gunmen ambushed the containers at a bypass, killing both victims instantly and damaging three vehicles.

The suspects fled after a subsequent shootout with police in which one policeman was injured, the report said.
