
LITTLE ROCK, Ark., June 1 (UPI) -- A man was taken in custody by Little Rock, Ark., police in a fatal shooting in a U.S .military recruiting center Monday, officials said.
Authorities say the incident occurred at a U.S. Army Navy Career Center inside the Ashley Square Shopping Center in the western part of the city, Little Rock television station KATV reported.
Little Rock police spokesman Lt. Terry Hastings said two people were standing outside of the recruitment office when the suspect drove up and began shooting. Police said the wounded were taken to an area hospital, where one of the victims died.
The suspect led police on a brief pursuit towards downtown Little Rock, before being taken into custody near the Interstate 30/630 interchange.
