WINDSOR, England, May 29 (UPI) -- Britain's Eton College, founded by King Henry VI nearly 570 years ago, was closed Friday after a student tested positive for swine flu, officials said.

The public school in Windsor, Berkshire, was closed for two weeks to prevent an outbreak of the H1N1 flu strain that has caused fears of a pandemic, the Times of London reported.

The unnamed 13-year-old student became ill Thursday afternoon with mild flu symptoms and is recovering at home.

Eton is the fifteenth school in England and Scotland to be advised to close temporarily to control the spread of swine flu. It will remain closed as a precaution until June 7.
