KABUL, Afghanistan, May 27 (UPI) -- Afghan and coalition forces killed four militants and seized 10 others Wednesday in two provinces in eastern Afghanistan, the U.S. military says.

The troops were targeting insurgent networks in Logar and Khost, CNN reports.

U.S.-led coalition troops Tuesday killed an Afghan driver in Khost after he reportedly ignored warnings by the soldiers and continued to approach them, the military said in a statement issued at Bagram Base.

Afghan forces used verbal commands and gestures in an attempt to stop the vehicle and also fired warning shots but the driver kept heading at them, Kuwait's KUNA news agency reports.
