Mother said Josh Powell threatened her

NEW YORK, May 27 (UPI) -- The head of the Bardwil Home linen company has been arrested for allegedly assaulting his housekeeper, the New York Daily News said Wednesday.
The newspaper said police sources told them George Bardwil, 57, was picked up during the weekend at his Upper East Side apartment after allegedly fracturing the victim's skull with an ashtray.
Bardwil is the chief executive officer of the company founded by his grandfather about 100 years ago. He told police he had discovered the woman sprawled on the floor Sunday afternoon.
The Daily News said Bardwil later told officers he suspected the woman, who was recovering in a hospital Wednesday, had been stealing from him.
