WOODSTOCK, Ontario, May 25 (UPI) -- Police in Ontario, Canada, say they're are looking for the back seat of a car owned by the man charged with killing 8-year-old Victoria Stafford.

The rear seat of Michael Thomas Rafferty's 2003 Honda was missing when he and his girlfriend, Terri-Lynn McClintic, were arrested last Wednesday, the Canadian Broadcasting Corp. reported Monday.

Woodstock Police have asked the public's help in finding the car's gray cloth seat.

Rafferty, 28, is charged with kidnapping and first-degree murder while McClintic, 18, is charged with kidnapping and helping Rafferty elude authorities, police said.

Stafford has not been seen since she disappeared after school April 8 in Woodstock.

McClintic has been helping police search the area but has been hampered by changes in the foliage since April 9, her lawyer told the CBC.
