Police said they were not sure what started the brawl. There were reports that the fight erupted amid rival families. Other reports said the men were upset by the preacher's teachings.

The six armed men, identified as extremists, reportedly attacked the preacher, prompting his supporters to rush to his aid.

The Austrian Press Agency reported that the preacher's name is Shri Guru Ravidas Sabha, BBC said.

The British network reported that the six armed men were injured in the incident and were taken to a hospital where they were arrested.
