N. Korea preparing to test missiles

PYONGYANG, North Korea, May 23 (UPI) -- North Korea could be preparing to test-fire short-range missiles, a South Korean government official said.

Yonhap news agency reported Saturday that sources say Pyongyang has been shuffling missile-related equipment and vehicles in its northeast region. The reclusive communist North Korean government has also restricted ships from regional waters.

"We've been seeing brisk activities along the North's northeast coast over the past two to three days, indicating trucks mounted with mobile rocket launchers are on the move," an unnamed South Korean defense ministry official was quoted as saying.
