WASHINGTON, May 22 (UPI) -- U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi told reporters she has "nothing more to say" on the controversy over how fully the CIA briefed her on waterboarding.
Pelosi, holding her first news conference since she said the agency "misled" her in 2002, spent most of her time talking to reporters about the achievements of the current Congress, The Hill reported.
"I have made the statement I am going to make," she said in response to a single question about torture. "I stand by my comments. I have nothing more to say."
A Republican resolution calling for an investigation into what Pelosi knew when on the CIA's interrogation practices failed on a party line vote this week.
Pelosi's daughter, Alexandra, a documentary film maker, filmed the news conference, Fox News reported.
