Taliban set fire to NATO supply terminals

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan, May 13 (UPI) -- Taliban militants set fire to 10 NATO supply terminals Wednesday in northwest Pakistan, local officials said.

They said the attack near Peshawar, capital of violence-wracked North-West Frontier province, was launched by about 70 Taliban fighters, resulting in a gun fight with police, CNN reported quoting the police.

There were no casualties reported.

The province, near the border with Afghanistan, has become the focus of the recent fighting between Pakistani forces and the militants.

The militants in the area also have been targeting convoys carrying food and supplies from Pakistan to NATO-led troops in Afghanistan.
