PHOENIX, May 13 (UPI) -- A public exhibit on U.S. border security featuring high-tech surveillance equipment is expected to draw hundreds to downtown Phoenix, officials said.
The exhibit was to be staged Wednesday and Thursday as part of a national law enforcement conference sponsored by the University of Arizona's National Center for Border Security and Immigration, The Arizona Republic reported.
The conference will address such topics as how border protection efforts might change in the Obama administration -- a discussion to be led Matt Mayer of the non-profit Heritage Foundation -- and a talk from Mark Borkowski, the executive director of the federal Secure Border Initiative.
Borkowksi was set to address comprehensive planning for border defense, the newspaper said.
