Nine die in suspected drone attack

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan, May 12 (UPI) -- A suspected U.S. unmanned aircraft strike on a village in Pakistan's tribal region killed nine people and wounded others Tuesday, Pakistani officials said.

A Pakistani intelligence official said the apparent drone attack struck a military training facility in Drey Nishter, a village in South Warziristan, CNN reported.

Muhammed Nasim, a regional official, said the dead included Taliban and foreign fighters, Muhammad Nasim, a regional official, said.

A Taliban fighter told CNN three missiles hit a house used as a training center and owned by Baitullah Mehsud, a Taliban leader.
