BUDAPEST, Hungary, May 6 (UPI) -- Hungary's Greenpeace activists voiced concern Wednesday about an accident in the country's only nuclear power plant at the central town of Paks.

A Greenpeace statement questioned the safety of the Paks plant, which has had 16 minor accidents, including the latest one, since 2001.

An "activated gauge" at the plant fell on the floor Monday but nobody was hurt and no radioactive emission was detected, the Hungarian news agency MTI said Wednesday.

Greenpeace criticized authorities for being late in advising the public about the accident.

Officials said the accident was a minor one, and the result human error.
