JAKARTA, April 21 (UPI) -- Two men were convicted Tuesday of murder and terrorist conspiracy and sentenced to 12 years imprisonment by a South Jakarta District Court in Indonesia.

The Jakarta Post reported Abdurahman Taib and Ki Agus Muhammad Toni, both of Palembang, South Sumatra, were found guilty of murdering a clergyman.

The judge in the case, identified by the Post only as Syamsuddin, said: "On June 2007, both defendants were convincingly involved in the murder of clergyman Dago in Palembang due to the latter's humiliation of Muslims."

The two were also convicted of plotting to explode a bomb in a Bukttinggi cafe in 2007. The attack was aborted.
