RAFAH, Egypt, April 18 (UPI) -- Egyptian security forces Saturday discovered five smuggling tunnels along the Gaza-Egypt border, officials said.

The tunnels' openings were found in the Egyptian part of the city of Rafah, which is divided by the border, The Jerusalem Post reported.

The newspaper reported that, among other things, food, motorcycles and computer parts were found in the tunnels.

Authorities said the tunnels would be destroyed.

The newspaper reported that Hezbollah members detained in Egypt said the terrorist group was planning to smuggle explosive belts and dynamite.

Egypt had opened the Rafah border crossing for two days this weekend to allow Palestinians who left the Gaza Strip to receive medical treatment in Egypt to return home.
