HOUSTON, April 15 (UPI) -- Houston police say a fleeing suspect was killed Wednesday when he was run over by a pursuing patrol car.
A department spokesman told the Houston Chronicle the man was struck when an officer tried to cut him off by pulling his car in front of him.

The suspect's identity was not immediately released. He was declared dead at the scene after being pinned under the vehicle.
The Chronicle said the incident occurred in northwest Houston shortly before 1 a.m. CDT when officers responded to a disturbance call. The man, whom police suspect was intoxicated, bolted from the scene.
