BAGHDAD, April 12 (UPI) -- A soldier killed Sunday in a roadside bombing north of Baghdad brought to nine the number of U.S. soldiers killed this month in Iraq, say military officials.
The soldier killed Sunday died in an explosion in the Salaheddin province, CNN reported.
Friday, five soldiers died in a suicide truck bombing in Mosul in the deadliest attack for the U.S. military in more than a year.
Last month, the U.S. military recorded its lowest monthly death toll in Iraq since 2003. Nine troops died in March, five of them in non-combat related incidents.
