ISLAMABAD, Pakistan, April 12 (UPI) -- Three guards were wounded Sunday in Pakistan in an attack on a supply depot serving U.S. and NATO-led troops in Afghanistan, police said.

The depot in Peshawar was attacked by more than 80 militants using rocket launchers and gasoline bombs, police spokesman Warid Khan told CNN.

The attack occurred in Pakistan's North-West Frontier Province -- a stronghold for Islamic extremists who have stepped up attacks against U.S. and NATO-led forces trucking food and military supplies through the area to Afghanistan.
