WASHINGTON, April 9 (UPI) -- The souvenir Easter egg, for the first time, will be available to Americans before the annual White House Easter Egg Roll on Monday, the White House said.

This year's Easter Egg Roll has activities built around the theme of "Let's Go Play," which seeks to educate children about the importance of living a healthy and active lifestyle, the White House said Thursday in a release.

Among other things the 2009 souvenir egg, which White House officials said is the "greenest" egg in history, uses 31 percent less paperboard than the 2008 designs; uses renewable, vegetable oil-based inks, and eliminates the need for paper filler.
