Police said when 77-year-old Franziska Stegbauer attempted to intervene in the conflict, she suffered stab wounds and died.

Authorities are unsure if the stabbing or a possible heart attack killed the victim, the Star said.

Mount said in a statement it is also unclear which man stabbed Franziska Stegbauer, who was Rondeau's grandmother, during the conflict.

Rondeau, who is in stable condition, feces preliminary murder charges. Adolf Stegbauer suffered serious injuries in the incident that required surgery, the Star said.
