LOUISVILLE, Ky., April 8 (UPI) -- A naked male suspect and a police officer were shot Wednesday in Louisville, Ky., after the suspect attempted to take the officer's gun, police allege.

Metro Police Chief Robert White said the unidentified female officer was shot twice in her thigh during a scuffle with the male suspect, who suffered unspecified gunshot wounds, WLKY-TV of Louisville said.

White said the officer was in stable condition following the incident, which began after she responded to a domestic disturbance call.

The police chief added that the suspect allegedly shot his girlfriend and a neighbor, leaving the unidentified victims in serious but stable and stable condition, respectively.

The suspect, whose identity wasn't reported, was subdued by police officers using a stun gun.

White told WLKY-TV the officer's stolen weapon was used in all of the shootings.
