HOUSTON, April 8 (UPI) -- Four apparently unrelated shootings left four people dead and four more wounded overnight in Houston, police said Wednesday.

A 22-year-old man was fatally wounded in the parking lot of a strip mall about 4:20 a.m. after attending a private birthday party for a 19-year-old woman at a bar there, the Houston Chronicle reported. Police said they had no motive for the slaying.

A third shooting occurred shortly before 1 a.m. during an apparent robbery at the Black Widow tattoo parlor in northwest Houston. The shop's owner was shot dead. The customers weren't harmed.

About the same time, a traffic altercation left three people shot, one fatally. The condition of the two wounded victims wasn't clear.
