Four die in Osaka house fire

OSAKA, Japan, April 6 (UPI) -- Fire swept through a two-story home in Osaka Monday, killing four people, police said.

The victims were veterinarian Takashi Nakatani, 54, his wife Naoko, 49, their son Masaru, 22, and Naoko's mother Kazuko Shibata, 81, Kyodo news service reported.

Nakatani's daughter Konomi, 20, escaped the 5 a.m. fire with only a minor injury, Kyodo said.
