Names released in N.J. compactor suit

TRENTON, N.J., April 1 (UPI) -- A New Jersey court has ruled the parents of a college student who was apparently killed in a dorm trash compactor will have access to the other residents.

The parents of College of New Jersey freshman John Fiocco are suing the school for allegedly failing to secure the compactor and want to have their lawyers talk to his fellow students about the machine.

The (Newark, N.J.) Star-Ledger said Wednesday the names and addresses of more than 500 students who lived in Wolfe Hall in 2006 would be turned over to the Fioccos' lawyers under the order.

Individuals objecting to the release of their information have until April 9 to register their complaints with the court.

Fiocco disappeared in March 2006 after an off-campus party. Blood was discovered around the compactor and his body turned up a month later in a Pennsylvania landfill.
