Police suspect Vilma condo used in killing

NEW YORK, March 31 (UPI) -- Police say they want to know if two men found slain in New York were killed in the Long Island luxury condo owned by NFL linebacker Jonathan Vilma.

Vilma, who plays for the New Orleans Saints, is trying to sell the condo and is not a suspect in the killings, The New York Post reported Tuesday. However, police want to talk to Vilma about who had access to the property.

A resident of a condo adjoining Vilma's said he heard two shots fired Thursday night and one of the bullets passed through the headboard in his mother's bedroom at the condo complex in Woodbury, where units sell for $800,000 to $1.4 million, the Post said.

Neighbors reported five men, including one who allegedly identified himself as Vilma's cousin, drove into the gated community in a car and a pickup truck and then drove off a short time later, police sources told the Post.

Hours later, police found the body of Sekou Sakor, 31, in Jamaica Bay and the body of Ansu Keita, 32, in a lot in South Ozone Park. The men, both Bronx residents from Liberia, died of a gunshot wound in the head, the Post reported.
