ISLAMABAD, Pakistan, March 29 (UPI) -- Pakistani security forces said Saturday they killed 26 Taliban militants in the Mohmand Agency in the Northwest Frontier province.
The International News said sources reported that militants first attacked a government convoy, killing an official with Pakistani security forces and wounding four others. The convoy was en route to a planned search operation when the two-hour gunfight started.
After the attackers withdrew, security forces shelled militant hideouts. The government imposed a curfew in the area and closed the roads.
