ROSEBURG, Ore., March 27 (UPI) -- More than 10 years after a teenager vanished while babysitting her cousins in a small Oregon town, her bones have been identified, police said.

"This is certainly not what anyone hoped for after 10 years, but it's an outcome we've tried to prepare for," Marty Condon, Stephanie's father, said in a statement. "My family is doing as well as can be expected under the circumstances. It will take time."

Dale Wayne Hill, 39, a suspect in Stephanie's disappearance was picked up Wednesday in Nevada on a charge of failing to register as a convicted felon.
