BEIRUT, Lebanon, March 27 (UPI) -- A 7-year-old boy was critically wounded Friday when a cluster bomb exploded in a southern Lebanese village, security sources say.

The incident occurred as U.N. Coordinator in Lebanon Michael Williams asked Israel for specific details regarding any dangerous ordnance left in Lebanese territories following a summer 2006 assault.

The Israeli ordnance has been blamed for scores of deaths in Lebanon, along with an unspecified number of injuries, the news agency said.
