WASHINGTON, March 24 (UPI) -- The U.S. Supreme Court Tuesday refused to restore a suit attacking a government Web site that says evolution is compatible with religion.

The University of California-Berkeley's 840-page "Understanding Evolution" site has a page that says Darwinism can be compatible with religion.

Jeanne Caldwell of Roseville, Calif., filed suit four years ago saying the information violates her religious beliefs and the government-funded site violates the separation of church and state, the San Francisco Chronicle reported.

Lower courts threw out the suit, saying Caldwell was unable to show how she had been injured by the site and she asked the U.S. Supreme Court for review.

The justices rejected the case Tuesday without comment.
