11 die in Chinese van crash

YONGSHAN, China, March 19 (UPI) -- A van plunged into a river in southwestern China Wednesday, killing 11 people, police said.

A search was being conducted for a 12th person who was reported missing, Xinhua reported.

The accident about 3 p.m. occurred in the Jinsha River in Yunnan province.

The cause of the crash was under investigation.
