PHILADELPHIA, March 16 (UPI) -- Former Pennsylvania state Sen. Vince Fumo was found guilty Monday of all corruption counts against him in federal court, officials said.
The Philadelphia Daily News reported Monday that Fumo, a Philadelphia Democrat, was found guilty of 137 counts of defrauding taxpayers, diverting money for his personal use from a non-profit he ran and obstruction of justice.
Co-defendant Ruth Arnao, who once headed the non-profit, Citizens Alliance for Better Neighborhoods, was found guilty of all 45 counts against her, the newspaper said.
U.S. District Judge Ronald Buckwalter could sentence Fumo, 65, to at least 10 years in prison.
