DULUTH, Minn., March 2 (UPI) -- Police in Duluth, Minn., say they have arrested a 23-year-old man after he allegedly went on a crime spree filled with "strange behavior."
Duluth Police Lt. Scott Jenkins said Antonio Thomas Robledo was arrested last week after he allegedly stole a car and some gasoline, leading to a police chase that included taunting 911 calls by the suspect, the Duluth (Minn.) News Tribune said Monday.
Jenkins said Robledo's alleged actions late Friday and early Saturday included damaging a squad car's back seat and kicking three police officers.
"Our guys were thinking alcohol or maybe mental issues or drugs. It was really strange behavior," Jenkins said to the newspaper.
Police said Robledo is suspected of calling 911 prior to his alleged crime spree in order to inform authorities he had been kicked out of his apartment by his roommate.
Jenkins told the News Tribune after a police dispatcher recommended an area homeless shelter, the man who identified himself as Tony hung up and the crime spree began soon after.
