WASHINGTON, Feb. 28 (UPI) -- The U.S. Federal Election Commission says it has issued admonishments in two election cases and dismissed complaints in several others.
The FEC said in a news release Friday it had admonished the Tom Davis for Congress Committee in Virginia and its treasurer for not including a disclaimer on public communications paid for with federal campaign funds.

It also admonished Idaho's Jim Risch for U.S. Senate Committee and its treasurer for not amending the committee's 2008 April quarterly report.
However, the agency found no reason to believe the Arizona State Democratic Central Executive Committee and a former treasurer had violated the Federal Election Campaign Act.
It also dismissed a complaint against the Martinez for Senate committee in Washington because it had addressed the issues in a related matter
The agency dismissed a complaint against the Ose for Congress Committee and its treasurer in California for broadcasting a campaign advertisement without a disclaimer; took no action against a trade union accused of requiring employees to engage in political activities; found no reason to believe the Donna Edwards for Congress campaign in Maryland, its treasurer or Edwards had accepted excessive contributions through 11 non-profit organizations; and decided to take no action regarding allegations that Patricia Madrid for Congress, the New Mexico candidate or the committee's treasurer had accepted an in-kind contribution that exceeded limits.
In the Madrid case, the FEC also took no action regarding the complaint that the in-kind contribution was a coordinated communication made by Madrid in her capacity as the New Mexico attorney general and dismissed the complaint against the state of New Mexico.
