Four tickets win Canadian jackpot

TORONTO, Feb. 22 (UPI) -- Four lottery ticket holders stand to win $12.6 million each in the second-largest lottery jackpot in Canadian history, officials said.

The Sudbury Star reported Sunday that the $50.3 million jackpot in Saturday's Lotto 6-49 draw was won by two tickets sold in the Greater Toronto Area, one in Quebec and one in Sudbury.

None of the winners had come forward by Sunday afternoon, the newspaper said.

The prize pot grew after no one won earlier jackpots and ticket sales increased as a result.

The Toronto Star reported that in all, there were $79.5 million worth of lottery tickets were sold across Canada.
