India taking time to respond to Pakistan

NEW DELHI, Feb. 18 (UPI) -- An Indian minister said Tuesday the government will answer Pakistan's questions about India's dossier on the Mumbai terror strikes on its own timetable.

"As and when we will be ready," External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee told reporters who asked when India will respond.

Pakistan has posed 30 questions about the evidence India has presented it concerning the Mumbai attacks.

The Press Trust of India reported the senior official also didn't answer directly when asked whether the Bharatiya Janata Party has been "frustrated" by the government deflecting the terror issue by its handling of the attacks' aftermath.

"What has been achieved is before the eyes of the people. They will comment," he said.
