BAGHDAD, Feb. 17 (UPI) -- Explosions rocked communities south and north of Baghdad Tuesday, killing seven and injuring 22, police officials said.
A rocket-propelled grenade killed four Iraqi teenagers on an athletic field Tuesday in Aramah south of Baghdad, the Kuwaiti news agency KUNA reported.
Officials said the boys were tampering with the unexploded device when it exploded. Fifteen other teens were injured.
Police did not say whether the grenade was a remnant from the Iraq-Iran war or another military operation.
North of Baghdad, three police officers were killed and seven were injured Tuesday when two bombs exploded inside a restaurant in Baquba, the capital of Diyala province, KUNA said.
Officials said the deadly blast occurred at an eatery near several security headquarters, while the other bomb exploded near the town's center.
