Medals of Olympic hero Davis missing

SAN ANTONIO, Feb. 11 (UPI) -- San Antonio swimmer Josh Davis has filed a police report on the disappearance of four of his Olympic medals, his attorney said.

Attorney Arden Specia said her client suspects three gold medals and one silver were either misplaced or stolen during the weekend, San Antonio's KSAT-TV reported Tuesday.

Davis suspects the medals may have been taken from his unlocked vehicle while he was attending a basketball game at Cornerstone Christian School on Saturday.

During his Olympic career, Davis earned a total of three gold and two silver medals. He participated in the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games and the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games.

The missing medals cannot be replaced, according to the U.S. Olympic Committee, Specia said.
