JINAN, China, Feb. 11 (UPI) -- A court in China's Shandong Province has sentenced an executive to death for bribery and embezzlement and ordered the confiscation of all his personal property.
Li Peiying, 59, former board chairman and general manager of Capital Airports Holding Co., was found guilty of seeking or accepting bribes and misappropriating company money totaling $14.6 million, China's Xinhua news agency reported Wednesday.

In handing down a death sentence, Jinan Intermediate People's Court said the amount of money involved in the case was extraordinary and Li's crimes inflicted great economic loss on the country.
