In a letter this week, the former Republican vice presidential candidate urged Obama to discuss the project when he meets in two weeks with Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper, CNN reported Saturday.
"Alaskans have appreciated your strong support for the construction of such a pipeline," Palin wrote. "This project is now moving forward, and I believe that a discussion between you and Prime Minister Harper would greatly facilitate the process now under way."
During the presidential campaign, Obama said he supported the pipeline, currently in the planning stages. The pipeline is expected to generate thousands of jobs and billions of dollars in revenue for Alaska.
