NEW DELHI, Feb. 6 (UPI) -- India is asking the United Nations to see that Pakistan fulfills its promise to end terrorism allegedly emanating from inside its borders.

The request was made during a meeting in New Delhi between U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and Indian External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee, the Press Trust of India reported Friday.

"I had a detailed discussion (with Ban) in the context of the terror attack on Mumbai and the material which we have given to Pakistan and shared with the entire international community," Mukherjee said.

He said India provided Pakistan with concrete evidence showing that the terrorist attacks that killed 179 people in Mumbai last November were planned in Pakistan and conducted by elements in that country.
