Officer Dante Arthur, an eight-year Baltimore Police Department veteran, was in critical but stable condition at Maryland Shock Trauma Center, The Baltimore Sun reported Saturday.

Arthur was shot twice in the face Friday, after attempting to make an undercover drug purchase. He is expected to make a full recovery, the newspaper reported.

Police have arrested Sean Cox, 22, Antwan Cox, 19, and Sean Smith, 23. Each was charged with attempted first-degree murder, first-degree assault and other offenses.
