KANSAS CITY, Mo., Jan. 18 (UPI) -- The family of a missing woman has asked residents of Kansas City, Mo., to come forward with any clues about her whereabouts.
Rick Pretz said Saturday he was desperately searching for clues regarding the disappearance of his 35-year-old daughter, Renee Pernice, The Kansas City (Mo.) Star reported.
"We don't want the public to relax and think their information won't be helpful to us," Pretz said.
Pretz praised police efforts to find his daughter, including a search warrant served last Friday at the home she shared with her husband Shon.
Pernice, according to documents, started divorce proceedings sometime around New Year's Day and has not been seen in at least two weeks, the Star reported.
Pretz was accompanied Saturday by Pernice's mother, Linda Lockwood, and one of their other daughters. The concerned father said his family remains confident someone ultimately will be charged in his daughter's disappearance.
"We're going to believe in the legal process," he said.
