FAYETTEVILLE, Ark., Jan. 15 (UPI) -- A 24-year-old man in Portsmouth, Va., has been extradited to Arkansas for allegedly making an illicit proposition to a boy through Xbox Live, police say.
Sgt. Bill Phelan, a police spokesman in Fayetteville, Ark., said Ryan Edwin Donker was arrested last December in his native Virginia on related charges and is now in custody in Fayetteville after being extradited last weekend, the (Newport News, Va.) Daily Press said Thursday.
Fayetteville police filed warrants for Donker's arrest after monitoring Xbox Live messages from Donker to a 13-year-old Arkansas boy. Police said in the messages, Donker allegedly asked the young gamer sexually explicit questions and requested nude photos from the boy.
The messages were recorded by police after the boy informed his parents last August of sexually explicit questions he had received from a fellow player on the Xbox 360 online gaming network.
The Daily Press said the parents informed authorities, who recorded subsequent messages between the pair and filed October arrest warrants for Donker.
