Apartment fire kills 6 in China

WENLING CITY, China, Jan. 10 (UPI) -- Fire swept through a five-story apartment building in China's Zehjiang province, killing six people and injuring two more, police said.

It took firefighters about two hours to extinguish the Friday night blaze in Taiping township of Wenling City, Xinhua reported.

More than 10 other people who lived in the building were evacuated, the state-run news agency said. The cause of the fire was under investigation.
