1 of 2 brothers crushed by ice missing

WELLINGTON, New Zealand, Jan. 10 (UPI) -- The body of an Australian man was still missing Saturday, two days after he and his brother were crushed under falling glacial ice in New Zealand, police said.

The Herald-Sun reported that authorities had recovered the body of Akshay Miranda, 22, but his brother Ashish, 24, had yet to be found.

The brothers died when a huge piece of the Fox Glacier fell on them Thursday.

The brothers had been on a family trip to celebrate their parents' 25th wedding anniversary, the newspaper said. The parents saw the ice collapse but didn't realize at the time that their sons had been killed.
